As the festive season looms we are taking some time out this weekend to prepare our apartments for all our visitors coming from every corner of the globe over Christmas and New Year.
Next week we have a group of Americans coming to celebrate Thanksgiving with with their Scottish relatives. Thanksgiving is celebrated on the fourth Thursday in November and has been celebrated in the US since 1863.
Thanksgiving Day in America is a time to offer thanks, of family gatherings and holiday meals. A time of turkeys, stuffing, and pumpkin pie. So we imagine our American guests will be enjoying some traditional Thanksgiving food along with perhaps a wee dram of whiskey and some scrumptious Haggis.
Whilst our guests are having a great time enjoying their Thanksgiving celebration we will be busy at our other apartments updating the decor, new carpets and refreshing all the paintwork so that when everyone starts arriving for Christmas everything will be nice and fresh for their celebrations at Hogmanay
