A splendid nigh yesterday as the Edinburgh International Festival drew
to a close. The annual Fireworks Concert organised by the EIF and Bank of Scotland
took place on Princes street.
The show started just after 9p.m. and lasted for an hour.
The fireworks (located on the Edinburgh Castle hill) were accompanied
by a charming music performed by The Scottish Chamber Orchestra
conducted by Nicolae Moldoveanu.
It is said that over 12,000 spectators crowded on the Princess street
and the city centre to watch hundreds of firing sequences.
